APPLYING CONSTRUCTIVIST MODEL
IN OPTIMAL THE WAY OF THINKING IN  THE ELEMENTARY
SCHOOL STUDENTS ON SCIENCE SUBJECTS THROUGH SAIN.


In the event of this study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application constructivist learning model for improvement in the students' way of thinking the value of social science subjects. Indicators of the effectiveness of the development of students how to balance divergent and convergent thinking, dynamic classroom setting, and change the existing system in the evaluation system. The method used this research is classroom action research with the main stages of planning, acting and observing, and reflection. The main steps later described as follows; problem identification, problem analysis, hypothesis formulation, action, monitoring and evaluation, and reflection. The conclusion from this study is that the application of constructivist learning model on the subjects of social sciences in improving the way high school students think. It is characterized by the development of students how to balance divergent and convergent thinking, a more dynamic classroom setting, and application portfolio evaluation system in science learning. In addition, the application of constructivist learning model can also increase the activity and assessment system to students in the subjects of social science classes X-XII in SMAN 6 Madiun
